I know it hasn’t been that long since my last baking post, but recently when I was flicking through one of my cook books I came across a recipe for chocolate chip scones and literally had a ‘duh!!’ moment to myself. I love to bake for other people so when Toby doesn’t like something, I often won’t make it, and fruit scones is unfortunately something he doesn’t like, and plain scones are a bit boring. So obviously why not whack some chocolate chips in and happy days for everyone! As soon as I saw the recipe I just had to bake some.
This is definitely one of my new favourite things to make, so quick and easy to make, bake and only 1 bowl, 1 fork and 1 rolling pin to wash up. They’re delicious even just to eat by themselves or with the traditional jam and cream, or maybe you could try cutting them in half and lightly toasting with some butter?
As always, the recipe card is a photo so feel free to save it for future reference. Scones are definitely under-rated, they are so easy to bake and are delicious.
Short and sweet post today, hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
