I love Instagram. Without doubt it is my favourite social media platform and the only one that I’m really active on, probably because I don’t feel any kind of fear of judgement on Instagram because it’s such a positive and supportive community. We all share what we love and talk about our interests, and everyone accepts and supports each other, even if it’s just watching someones Instagram stories or commenting on their gorgeous kitchen, it’s a positive place full of lovely interiors and lovely people. So, I thought I’d do a new series where I just share a few of my favourite Instagram accounts. There really are so many that I love and I’m always on the look out for new people to follow, so I’m just going to share 5 for now.
Rebecca is an absolute Instagram and blogging veteran who still manages to make her feed look so dreamy even when living in a building site. She takes you through her house renovating journey, loves interiors, gardening and always seems to go on amazing holidays! She’s basically #goals and I love her style.
Elle is a more recent find for me, I started following her early this year and I’m just sad I didn’t find her sooner (is it weird that I’m really excited to see her and her house at Christmas time?). She has a gorgeous home and garden, and is also amazing at styling at taking photos. But what I like most about Elle’s account is her Instagram stories, she’s so likeable and funny, but is also such a strong and incredible woman that shares the heartbreaking story of the loss of her son, Teddy, and shares this to try and help others and raise money for charity. You’re amazing Elle!
Probably one of the biggest interior accounts, and one I’m sure all of you already follow, is of course Charlotte from thehomethatmademe. She’s the queen of Instagram house goals, with everything being absolutely immaculate, and her love of neutral decor just goes out to prove that neutral doesn’t mean boring – her home is so stunning. Charlotte also does lots of Instagram stories which I love, but I love more that she keeps everything real. She doesn’t go out and spend ridiculous amounts of money on furniture or hire a decorator to paint a room or wallpaper a wall. She gets stuck in and does everything herself, and loves a bargain like the rest of us.
Another more recent find for me through Charlotte’s guest blog series, is Jess at the aptly named thehoppyhome because of her super cute house bunny, who often appears on her feed. Her home is gorgeous, bright, and predominately white, which is why I love it so much! Love her feed and styling and really enjoy following her.
One that I followed since the beginning and found each other through mutual love of Emma Bridgewater, Vickie has a gorgeous home who has an absolute skill of adding character and a country, industrial feel to a modern house. Her home is stunning and she’s always adding and changing things up. Love her feed, especially at Christmas time!
So, there’s just 5 of my many favourite accounts. Hope you enjoyed and I’m sure that I will do a part 2 in the not so distant future.
