Bathroom Renovation – The Inspiration

It’s been a whole 2 weeks since my last bit of DIY, so naturally I was having withdrawal syndrome and said to Toby that I was fed up of waiting for our new bathroom and that we were just going to do it. So far it’s going very well, in the first 24 hours we had stripped the room, taken out the old bath and tiles and it has been plastered. So now I’m sitting downstairs using all the optimism and electric heaters to urge the plaster to dry faster so I can crack on with tiles and painting. Realistically though I think it will all be done next weekend, so I just keep on imagining myself next Sunday evening, relaxing and taking a bath in my brand new bathroom, I can’t wait!
For now I thought I would share some images that inspired me and the look and feel of bathroom that I am going for, and help to remind me that it will all be worth it in the end, can you tell I’m super impatient?
There is going to be beautiful marble look floor tiles, antique mirror tiles, grey walls, chandelier, open shelves and of course, a stunning freestanding roll top bath with claw foot legs
Can’t wait to be showing it to you guys, hopefully, this time next week!
