We’re Moving!

My god has it been hard to keep this one to myself!! I didn’t want to share the exciting news before everything was 10000% confirmed and we had our move in date, which is now under a week away!

But yes, although we absolutely love our little cottage in the town we live in at the moment, and have spent SO many hours completely renovating every room and making it into our little home, we always knew that it wasn’t to be our forever home, and that we would shortly outgrow it as it just doesn’t suit us. So, we jumped at the opportunity when the most gorgeous 4 bed victorian terrace came up for sale on the loveliest road opposite sweet parks with lakes with swans! .  The location is a bit of a drive away from where we currently live, about 45 mins but I’m not sad to leave our little town because we are moving to the sea-side! Our new house will be about 5 minute walk to the sea and a 5 minute drive to the beach. It is honestly the most gorgeous house ever, so quirky and as soon as I stepped through the front door I knew it was the one and felt so at home already, I didn’t want to leave!

It has so many gorgeous original features, built in the 1880’s, it has not one, but two log burners! Gorgeous surrounds, and cast iron fireplaces in all the bedrooms, gorgeous high ceilings with picture rails, coving, ceiling roses’, beautiful doors and original floorboards. The current owners have done wonders maintaining all the features and for that I couldn’t love them more! The main bedroom is absolutely mahooosive and has the most gorgeous bay window which is just calling out for a window seat. The kitchen is stunning with quirky little bits and bobs, an original pantry section, gorgeous range cooker and plenty of glass cupboards for displaying all my EB! Every single room in the house I am absolutely in love with and each has wonderful features that just ooze charm and make you feel at home .

If not THE most exciting thing about the whole of the new house is that it has a lovely little garden! Perfect for having a BBQ, spending evenings sat outside, and getting a SAUSAGE DOG!!  Watch this space because as soon as we’ve settled and have everything ready we will be looking to getting our first addition to our little family and I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED!

Naturally I already have plans and lists of everything that I want to do/change/buy for the new house and exactly what is going to go where, almost down to which cupboard in the kitchen the cling film will go in . So, watch out for new posts as I will be recording everything this time round (with before pics) and Toby and I couldn’t be more excited to start the next chapter of our lives together.

Thank you for reading!
